A crash with this log happens when I start AM15 without saving Delta base in AM14.In the path where I did save the base the mission. But only under some Screenresolutions (In 1680x1050 and 1280x960 it crashes and in 1280x800 it does not [although that shouldn't be a natural for my screen])


And another matter, more a curiosity. When I start AM13 while having replaced the Disk2 directory of the GOG-version with the one from my old german CD I start with 1 Character of my choice missing while 3 others appearing double.

Could you post your campaign saves (In a zip/rar. As long as its under 2MB it can be uploaded directly to the forum)? Original War was originally just designed for 640x480, 800x600 and 1024x768. Sometimes there are some rendering bugs exposed when certain resolutions and certain maps are used (Which if i can re-produce i should be able to fix).

I have created a bug report on the bug tracker for this issue.

The Disk2 OWP files contain both the sound for the mission dialogues and the maps themselves. If you replace them you will need to apply the latest patch or they will contain all the old mission bugs.

I was able to reproduce with 1.12.9.1 but not with the latest build. Could you try OWPatch_1.12.10.1_RC1.rar and let me know if it still happens?

Could you try OwarFull_1.12.10.11_2014-05-06.rar. I have modified that section of code to handle the error instead of reporting it(In my opinion the potential for a graphical bug is better than just crashing).

Well it seems to work, at least no immediate crash anymore.

Although the OWsteam.dll is reported (falsely I hope) as trojan

None of the main virus scanners detect anything: http://virusscan.jotti.org/en/scanresult/603fc254565013327ddd68144896dd24f06b5a6d. Note: Don't trust the link i provided. Do a scan yourself.

All OWSteam.dll does is provide a way for Original War to use Steam's API. Original War is written in Delphi and can not directly be linked to Steam's API as its done in C++, so OWSteam.dll was needed to bridge the gap.

I tried it now with several programs and only one gave a warning. So most likely a false.

One small thing I noticed is that the videos at the gamestart now lag.

Nothing has changed code wise for the videos and steam integration doesn't really cost anything CPU wise.

If you goto Original War's Launcher, and then to its options bit and turn on "FPS Counter", do you get a constant 25FPS for the videos(Except for the OW Support video which runs at 15FPS)?

Seems at the times I played something else has always drawn resources away.
At least the issue is gone now
