Is there someone here who really loves the design Morphid made for the Arabians? I understand the lot of work he might had, but in my opinion, some things, even placed a ton of work, do not come nice, like in this case. What could be done?

If you mean the interface for Arabs, I partly agree. It has potential, but it still needs improvement, e.g. small details like cams in the wood panels and perhaps add some hides (animal hides seems to be a theme for Arabs).

I was told that people thought my one sucked and that his was better, hence why it was changed.

From what I can remember, Stucuk's looks a lot cleaner.
The other one is like if they oxidized metal and taken photos of it and then placed it on OW... :/

I am in a conflict of interest. I pushed it to make it there. So, my advocacy will probably have a lot of weight.

But, on Morphid's Interface photos have never been used.
And you are the board by the ruler really like it more?
You/he said animal skins, this is not the Middle Ages, I imagine an interface more like a computer, not like a pile of boards

Stucuk, could you put a picture of the original, whether it can judge other people?

I must agree with Sali, Morphid's interface looks like oxidized metal but that is the feel of old, cheap technology which arabians bought for their merceneries. How could you give orders to your soldiers with piece of wood?

No, im not going to start a "How much does Stucuk Suck at making layouts" Discussion.

Err, you do realise that people have made wooden devices where the metal stuff is on the inside right? Alot of modern technology doesn't have metal on the outside, they use Plastic. They don't however generally advertise what the insides of there devices look like as the plastic finish looks better than seeing a bunch of wires.

When i designed an arabian layout i based the wooden concept on the early Original War images like This and This where the layout is made mainly of wood.

Hmm, Morphid was inspired by the pre-alpha layouts too:

I always personally though them pre-alpha layouts were horrible.

Yes, Morphid used the material that Altar was sent to him, but it was not even half, and moreover, almost nothing or did not fit into the OW. He had to finish and redo everything.

As I said: The problem is not the work you put on your job, but the RESULT indeed.

I personally, at least, don't feel motivation to play arabians with that layout. And if you ask why I work on the Arabians mod, it's because I want a campaign up and running, and because I love making cinematics.

1st I do not understand, I think they're not reasons.
2nd so for your Arabian mod, you do your interface, is not it?
3rd stucuk's 'alpha' X true "alpha" = no similar, so you not compare it

So, both interfaces are inspired by early Original War versions. But Morphid´s interface´s quality clearly reaches quality of interfece in pre-alpha OW. At the other side Stucuk´s interface, in state which i saw it, does not even reach his alpha OW inspiration. So if you care about results, in this moment is Morphid´s interface really better then Stucuk´s. If you want to use your wood, you should complete it.

First, I'm sorry for my English... I've created an interface not for me, but for ow community... I've had materials from Altar (... rather from Idea)... these materials are not photo downloaded from the Internet.. it's old interface for Arabian side in OW and I made from "obtained" images new Arabian interface... If you don't like it, you can do better... I've done it for you..
