I will admit I am pretty stupid when it comes to computer code. I once saw a save game cheat where McMillian and Burlak were super fast and almost invincible, so I know that it is possible to edit/mod characters.

I have been playing with the tools that came with the patch 1.10 and have not been able to figure out how exactly to use Pak View. I am not sure what it is even supposed to do.

I have read your tutorials and have seen where it talks about editing/modding characters using START or SAIL.

I guess my question is what do you use to edit them? Are you only talking about homemade mods in those tutorials or does that apply to in game editing too?

PakView allows you to open OWP files and extract the contents of them. OWP's are like ZIP files and contain the Original War game files. (Which can be modifyed and used in mods).

There is no cheats for Original War. You can however play the game through the editor, modify characters attributes, then save in the editor and load in the game.

But there is no real way to modify a character without creating a mod (unless you use the editor method).

I've wondered this. Im trying to make it into a mod but how do I edit Macmillan? I was trying to try it with Macmillan as a mechanic and Nurlak as a soldier. I unpacked am01 (and ru01).OWP, and edited it using the map editor - or tried. I open the map and Macmillan/Burlak isn't there at th start! So how do I change their stats?
Cheers
