Sorry if this is done somewhere else or something but I just wanted to help :D

If you want to create an avatar of your own, one like the Original War style ones, then simply create your avatar, after doing so, press print screen and paste in Paint, you should have a screenshot of your desktop (And make sure your preferred portrait is in the shot!) after doing so - Take the simple selector tool and cut out the image of the size you want (Select appropriate size for the forum) And copy the portrait you cut out.

After doing so, select 'New' in paint and paste it, then size down the 'Canvas' right to the edges of the portrait and save.

You should be able to upload to a image-hosting site and upload onto the forums, providing you selected the aforementioned size aloud on the forum.

You don't need to host it on an external site.

Oh, when I tried uploading the paint file, it was un-accepted format, uploading it changed the format.

BMP's are large in size which is why it isn't accepted. The forum has an upload limit of 25KB (For avatars). If you could upload a BMP then a 100x100 image would likley be far higher than 25KB.

If you want bmp quality and fair good cheap space, go for the PNGs formats. ;)
