Sponge was removed from the game ages ago. It was never available in Alpha or Beta (You can only get it in your inventory by using an inventory editor but it has no use at all).

Apologies for the thread necromancy but I find that your ID list is, although very comprehensive and useful, still slightly incomplete. I attach my own Item ID list (which was compiled from several existing lists and my own research) for your perusal. I would just paste the entire list, but it appears 'spoilers' do not work on this forum. Item-inary.xlsxThe comments concerning 'banned blocks' relate to the server I help staff. Otherwise, everything else should be relevant to everyone. P.S. Just for completeness, it would be nice for your ID list to include blocks/items that can only be obtained in creative mode. It is my preferred choice of online lists to direct people to, and I would appreciate it if someone could 'finish it off' so-to-speak.

I don't own Excel so i can't open xlsx files, spoiler tags are not needed, you can paste your list here. To my knowledge nothing is Creative Only, just that some blocks can only be obtained in Survival via Spawning(Or an Enchanted Weapon) which is already on the ID List (Light Blue ID Numbers).
The only things i know its missing is Block 36 (Which you can't do anything with as its Piston related), the Silverfish Block (97) doesn't have the 2 variations listed and the Spawn Eggs don't list the hostile ones(It also misses out the Snowman Spawn Egg due to it not working and thus being pointless).
EDIT: I have added Block 36 as well as 97:1 and 97:2 . I will need to test the Hostile Spawn Eggs before i can add them (Not everyone of them actually spawns a mob. Enderdragon for example).

The tabs got changed to spaces so the columns aren't especially clear any more, but all the items and blocks that I know of are in this list. (not sure what the block IDs of the two new sandstone-type blocks are/will be)
The 'Item ID' and 'Item Name' columns are self explanatory, and the 'Validity' column is as follows. If an item/block is preceded by a * then it is unobtainable in survival or creative, without specifically spawning it into the game. If an item/block is preceded by a ~ then it is readily obtainable in creative mode but not survival.
P.S. The names used for items/blocks vary between the exact name in Minecraft (case sensitive) to something a bit more descriptive in some cases.

I am reluctant to add some kind of indicator to the list to show what items can be created in Creative mode as the game already shows people. 24:1, 24:2 and 24:3 don't exist and there doesn't seem to be any new ID's so i don't think the new Sandstone Blocks have been added to the game. From what i can tell the only things which are missing are the Hostile Spawn Eggs. Thanks for posting your list, i will try to add the Hostile Spawn Eggs soon.

Fair enough. You have an indicator (light blue for IDs) to show items that can only be obtained through spawning. I assume this is meant to mainly apply to survival mode. Some of the items included in this selection can now be obtained with shears or with an enchanted tool (slik touch). These are: Obtainable with sheers: (not including items without a blue ID)31:1 Tall Grass 31:2 Tall Grass (Fern)
NB: '31 Tall Grass (Dead Shrub)' and '32 Dead Shrub' cannot be obtained with sheers, though the latter is available in creative mode.Obtainable with a silk-touch enchanted pickaxe: (not including items without a blue ID)2 Grass 56 Diamond Ore 99 Brown Mushroom (Block) 100 Red Mushroom (Block) 110 Mycelium
NB: The Brown and Red Mushroom blocks appear to have near-random metadata depending on their position within the mushroom structure; at least, I haven't found the pattern yet. Also of note, the following lists concern other updates to the Minecraft ID List. Obtainable with an unenchanted pickaxe: (kill the dragon, then you can return with items from the end)Items that probably should have a blue ID and don't:98:3 Circle Stone Brick - readily available in creative, but currently only available in survival through a block update exploit 124 Redstone Lamp (On)
I hope I am not overstepping the mark by suggesting all these changes - I only intend to help. P.S. I have ignored items that are available in creative mode but aren't in survival mode, due to your previous reply.

The Shears page was updated in the past to state you could obtain them but it looks like i forgot to update the Tall Grass's status to obtainable. End Stone has been changed to obtainable and Circle Stone Brick to unobtainable. Redstone Lamp (On)'s can be obtained, you just need to destroy a Redstone Lamp while its powered. Iakovosian Wrote: I assume this is meant to mainly apply to survival mode. Yes, with creative you don't really need to spawn items as you get alot of the un-obtainable ones. Iakovosian Wrote: with an enchanted tool (slik touch). I have currently stayed away from silk touch. It makes life problematic as 99% of blocks can then be classified as obtainable even though most people won't have silk touch applied to a pickaxe. Iakovosian Wrote: I hope I am not overstepping the mark by suggesting all these changes - I only intend to help. Suggestions are always welcome.
